Old-fashioned rich girl-poor boy love story
Story: Rich girl Ritu (Amrita Rao) loves simpleton Saahil (Tusshar Kapoor) because he is an artist. Her business tycoon dad (Ram Kapoor) disapproves of the relationship for the very same reason. He agrees on the alliance if the artist can prove to be a successful businessman too. Can the kalakaar deliver when it comes to big bottom lines and sail through the test of love?
Movie Review: Here's another effort on the part of Rajshri Inc to create a sweet, happy, family film which focuses on the fluorescent side of romance alone. In the Rajshri romance there is no place for lover's tiffs, tirades and tantrums. Both Amrita and Tusshar begin with a smile and keep smiling till the very end.
It's actually quite okay to perambulate this Utopian world because it is so very different from the world we live in. Also, the film does take an interesting turn when artist Tusshar is thrown into the corporate den and forced to concentrate on the colour of money rather than the hues of his palette. It doesn't take long for him to realize that the arty world and the corporate world aren't too different. The same principles of bhaichara and benevolence apply here too. With a bit of help from his girl friend and a whole lot of conscience stirring, he becomes king of the corporate jungle.... Utopia, didn't we say.
The film does have a sweetness that grows on you and seasoned actors like Ram Kapoor and Madhoo add a dignity to their roles. The love birds Tusshar and Amrita are in sync with each other, but the film is so predictable and so long, it loses impact.
Surely, a bit of reinvention is the need of the hour for Rajshri Inc too. After all, it's a fast and furious world we live in today.
