Sohail Khan is fast making his way into the list of Bollywood’s top producers. The young lad has already had a fruitful year with the success of Lucky - No time for love. While Lucky was a sweet love story, his latest flick, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, is a chaotic comedy. And speaking of a madcap comic caper, David Dhawan is the best man for the job. Having India’s most bankable actor as his elder brother, it is only obvious that Sohail would sign Salman Khan as the leading man. What’s more? Salman is accompanied by a huge and happening supporting cast comprising of Sushmita Sen, Arshad Warsi, Katrina Kaif, Beena Kak, Rajpal Yadav and Sohail himself. Though released amidst tremendous speculation, and surrounded by controversy thanks to the recently released Salman-Aishwarya tape, MPKK still comes out as the single hottest release this summer. So, does it have the same magic as last year’s David-Salman smash hit Mujhse Shaadi Karogi? Does it have enough laughs to tickle your funny bone for its 2 and half hour duration?

Story:
The story begins in Lucknow and here lives Monica Jaitley (divya) a girl who grows up with some tough choice. She decides to get practical in life and marries Raj Jaitley (rajat) for love. Eventually, she sleeps with Aseem Ray (tinnu anand) for position and then she seduces Pamela (kittu) for power. Finally, she also gives herself to Chandrakant Pandit (ashutosh rana) for something else. However, she has goals to achieve and Monica does that to get them. Is she successful or not forms the rest of the story.
Performance:
Divya comes up with a riveting performance and she packs with good sex appeal. Ashutosh Rana was excellent. Rajat Kapoor was artificial, Dadhi Pandey was decent, Tinnu Anand was top notch, Kittu Gidwani was perfect, Yashpal Sharma was wonderful.
Music:
'Monica' music is composed by Raju Rao. And the background score was alright but songs were not present.
Verdict:Good

Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002) Dvdip 550Mb Mediafire Link
Written and directed by Sohail Khan, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya has the technical finesse and an overdose of stylishly pictured action sequences featuring Sohail. Yet the film ends up as a low-key fare due to the absence of an interesting storyline.
Based on the oft-repeated story of two lovers rebelling against the parental opposition, the film is a mish mash of several Bollywood hits. The script is riddled with mushy dialogues that completely lose their significance due to repeated use.
Maine Dil Tujhko Diya merely drags in the first half, which is full of puerile romantic sequences showing Sohail as the 'protector' of Sameera from the bad guys. The narrative gathers pace post interval with the entry of Sanjay Dutt in a negative role.
The second half particularly boasts of catchy sequences like the battle of brawns between Sohail and Rajpal Yadav.
Sohail, who makes his acting debut with the film, is seen flaunting his beefcake physique throughout the film rather than bringing an emotive sensitivity to his role. He sure doesn't have much of a career as an actor.
Debutante Sameera Reddy just about manages to play the subjugated daughter of an overprotective father. Her facial expressions are bland and her diction needs much sprucing.
Still, Maine Dil Tujhko Diya is worth a watch chiefly because of its glossy look and the presence of fresh faces. To boot is Sanjay Dutt's riveting portrayal of underworld gangster Bhaijaan, a performance that stands out among the pallid performances by the leading starcast.
